There are some subtle cues here in this small free PDF that are very useful. I also have the "Mountains" pdf which I could say the same thing. If for a primer or just for the reminders, every game master should take the time to read this.

lots of great flavor to add when you're describing a forest! im often at a loss to properly describe what my players are looking at and resources like this to keep in my dm binder are the perfect aid to jumpstart my imagination in coming up with a detailed description to bring the world alive

This product is great if you are planning a quest into a forested are, so many ideas to make it more interesting. a few examples of creatures you might find in each forest might be helpful but a really great place to start!

As a free product I believe this little text deserves 5 stars. It can provide you a fine overview on the forest topic and motivate you to flesh out your setting a bit.

I hate to be too critical of free pdfs, but there's literally nothing here but some vague terminolgy on why forests should be interesting, plus some links to Youtube sound effects and (seriously) Wikipedia articles. This is an incredibly thin piece that would have been served better as a blog post.

Can't see the forrst for the trees? How about the briars, vines, hidden squishy spots, poisonous flora and camoflaged fauna? Not to mention just trying to find your way around when it all looks alike or you can't see more than ten yards.
