Is there a timber floor tile (4x4) with holes along one edge only? If so, I can't seem to find it. I wish all of the pieces were visible before purchase. Thanks!

I really want to use these but I am finding them unusable. the original 2x2 (for example) with 4 holes is 13 meg. The 2x2 with only 1 hole is 215 meg and when I took a look at the file it has has over 13 million vertices. I had a similar issue with the 2x4 half holes - it seems to be systemic through all of these. I had a friend of mine with mire experience look and she said "I think they took one of Tom's files, made changes to the top surfaces then retopologized the whole model, rather than just the surface areas. Every single part of the model now has the same surface complexity as the boards." I dig the work but can't slice files anywhere near this large or complex.

I'd like to say thank you first, for offering such helpful mods with multiple options for free. Most objects have worked perfectly for me right from the download, I have had to take a piece from one set or another into Blender to fix a minor issue here or there, but they weren't difficult or major issues at all. You've made my village buildings much more customizable and with a lot fewer unecessary holes. I struggle more with printing plugs the right size than I do with using these floors. I hope that you continue to create objects like these and improve upon the old ones when you get time. These pieces are a big deal for people who build like I do where optimization is everything and time saving is everything. It might be difficult for people who aren't sure how to edit a mesh to appreciate these sets, that is understandable, but I think us Dragonlock fans have such a great community that there's no reason we can't work together at times to help sets like these become the sets the maker's envisioned. And just...See more

the 4x4 timberframe tile with L-shaped holes has one of the dragonblock holes blocked when I sliced it. I have downloaded it again, and get the same result from the new files. Is it supposed to be that way?

I was a little disappointed that the larger floor tiles were just smaller pieces bound together. I would have at least thought that the connector alley way for the dragonlock clip between the solid pieces would have been removed.

This was my first ever mod set I did, as I get more experience I will be revisiting previous releases to optimize them including removing unneeded elements such as the those connectors

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
