I've created paper deckplan posters for several of the ships from my Future Armada and Armada Codex product lines. The product for sale here is a digital image of the Kinatro/Tachikaze poster and is intended for use in gaming via computer or with a table-top projector. These are 24x26 inch jpeg images at 150 dpi. Two images are included: the "front" and "back" of the poster. The maps are at 1 inch = 5 feet scale with a grid built into the floor.

The Kintar (“Golden Boy”) class vessels are built-to-order starships for the wealthiest of clientele. Originally designed as a hunter-killer for the military but ultimately employed as police interceptors and high-end racing yachts, these sleek ships are built for speed. For the private market, the utilitarian military interior has been remodeled with luxury accommodations and components have been upgraded with cutting edge technology. No expense is spared, making a Kintar -class yacht a status symbol as well as a top tier racing machine. On the flipside is the Tachikaze-class police interceptor. Developed in parallel, it uses the same hull design and general layout as Kintar but lacks the luxury décor and upgrades. It has an improved sensor suite instead of a swimming pool and detention cells rather than servants quarters, as well a barracks for half a dozen marines instead of a couple pampered guests.

The Kintaro-class racing yacht is the front of the poster (image 1) and the Tachikaze police interceptor is on the back (image 2). These ships are from the "Kintaro" issue of Armada Codex, also for sale here at RPGNow. As with all of the Future Armada and Codex issues, that product details the ships and their interiors, and also includes the deckplans (on a plain white background) broken into pages for printing.

The physical poster and miniature, as well as Demo documents and sample art for every Armada Codex ship, are available at 0-hr.com.

These are really great. I'm just curious if there is a 'player' version of the posters, without the text on them, in vtt games? Could you point me towards those? I'd really love to start collecting that.

The poster images have text on them but most of the PDF products include large, unlabeled, images of maps on a plain background.

Any chance you have png images of them for vtt's or plans to make them? These ships are really cool and I want to get them into my online games very badly :) Thank you for your reply!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
