d30 NPC Background Generator

This d30 generator helps create a bit of flavor-text background for NPCs. The idea is to use this with a few other d30 tables to create enough of a framework that a GM can flesh out with other details to make an interesting NPC.

These tables were clearly inspired by the PC Priors & Particulars from HackMaster (both editions), but simplified for this particular use. The GM is encouraged to ignore/edit the tables as desired because.....well that's what GMs should do, especially in OSR games. Use what makes sense, alter or ignore what doesn't.

In the end though, these tables are a little bit of love for the venerable d30.

In a pinch you could substitute the d30 rolls with other dice.You could use a d3 in conjunction with a d10 to get the specific result, and use this combination twice. This kind of goes against the idea of using d30 tables, but there you go. I'd suggest picking up a d30 from the likes of Crystal Caste.
