star.gifstar.gifstar.gifstar.gifstar_half.gif "... polish up a sword, find a good rock, or put on the best armor to be had and take a look at these optional fighters."
grbtna.gif -- Wayne Tonjes, GamingReport.com

star.gifstar.gifstar.gifstar.gif "...this small PDF is very useful, and well worth the paltry cost. The characters are useful as both PCs and NPCs, and inject some nice story elements based on their classes. These additions are going straight into my homebrew!"
-- derbacher , EnWorld.org

star.gifstar.gifstar.gifstar.gif "...The third is the Dog Fighter and it is possible the best class I have seen in the whole Unorthodox series. It takes a good concept and develops and describes the concept in a well and meaningful way."
-- Crothian , EnWorld.org

There's a Dragon before you, with evils eyes and sharp gnashing teeth. What do you do? What do you do? (you could always try to fire a magic missile, you wuss).

For those of you who like to get in close an personal with bad things, UNORTHODOX FIGHTERS is for you! This 25 page pdf contains 5 New Fighters for you to use in any d20 fantasy world. Each Fighter comes with a detailed background, new abilities, and new progression charts. MAGIC MISSILE? You don't need no stinkin' Magic Missile.

Written by Doug Kilmer (and an eerie cover by Brad McDevitt), this book details the following five new Fighters:

-The Bastion: The ultimate living roadblock.
-The Bully: Bows and Arrows? Not for the Bully -- a good rock makes a better impact sound.
-The Dogfighter: Down on his luck, the Dogfighter depends on himself and his only trustworthy companions
-The Legend Seeker: When he walks into the room, everyone speaks his name. If they don't, then they must be mute or dead.
-The Second Son: Middle Child Syndrome can be tough. The Second Son struggles to impress his parents even though they just don't care.

This zip file contains a fully illustrated Landscape PDF for easy online reading, Portrait PDF for low-ink printing (your ink cartridge will be happy), and our standard Rich-Text-Format version so that you can cut/copy/paste to your hearts content!

More variations on the fighter archetype from The Le Games. If you like fighters and want to do something new with them then this is a good book. [...]

Unorthodox Fighters presents five core classes intended to serve as variants from the standard fighter class. Each one is presented using the same format used in the Player's Handbook. There are a lot of good ideas here, and the layout and presentation [...]

The bastion, the bully, the dogfighter, the legend seeker and the second son are the five core classes presented in The Le Games? ?Unorthodox Fighters.? Each is treated as a fully-playable fighter-type class for use in your standard d20 game. This is [...]

I especially like the variety that the five fighter subtypes gives to both players and referees (in the form of detailed, interesting NPCs). In game universes that include many civilizations, such variety is essential.<br><br> <b>LIK [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
